I’m Chris Spalding and I’ve been a resident of Phoenix and the Northwest part of Peoria since 1996. In the summer of 2019 I stumbled upon a rattlesnake in my front yard and called a neighbor who was known to help remove them. This sparked a fascination in me for these incredible creatures and soon I found myself at the Phoenix Herpetological society getting venomous snake handling lessons.

Fast forward to 2025 and to date I’ve helped relocate hundreds of snakes. King snakes, Gopher snakes, Coach Whips but to name a few, and of course LOTS of rattlesnakes. My knowledge base has grown and I’ve come to love these animals, I’m licensed with Arizona Game and Fish for relocation of snakes. The natural evolution of this passion was to create my own business, The Rattlesnake Defense Co. focused on rattlesnake-proof fencing installation and rattlesnake removal services
